Every year TVWA partners with the City of Fairbanks for their Stream Clean Up Day on the Noyes Slough and Chena River.  Volunteers converge on the waterways to pick up trash.  2021 marked the 17th Annual Stream Clean-Up Day with 35 volunteers collecting 540 lbs of trash.  If you are interested in participating in Stream Clean Up Day 2022, please fill out the interest form below.

Trash Inventory 2016 - 2017
During the 2016 - 2017 seasons we helped pick up the trash that was collected and then inventoried the trash removed from Noyes Slough during the annual Stream Clean-Up event. After compiling both years trash, we then created a final report with recommendations on how trash and other debris can be reduced from Noyes Slough. This assessment will be used as a baseline to determine what actions the City of Fairbanks could be taking to reduce yearly trash inputs.
